note has won the Scratch Cup in his time. Printed in 1994 by David

their centenary in 1994. This golf club is steeped in history. One of the
world's greatest golf links situated about 6 miles from the center of
Dublin City, the Canada Cup was played here in 1960 when Sam
Snead and Arnold Palmer won for the USA. The Irish Open was played here on
many occasions with winners like Bernard Langer, Seve, Ian Woosnam, John
O'Leary and others. Joe Carr, Ireland's most famous amateur golfer was born in the bungalow
at the entrance gate to the club house. Harry Bradshaw, was
professional for many years here and retired from the famous pro shop in

Centenary Book This is a very nice publication written by one
of Ireland's best golf writers Dermot Gilleece of the Irish Times in
association with John Redmond, of the Irish Press. This book is a feast of
history with some beautiful pictures both in colour and in black and white
from past eras. 1893 was the year that women in New Zealand got the vote!
Hard cover with green dust wraps, it is a must for any collector to add to
her or his library.
